Personal Biography
Hai Jung Helen Rhim, MD, MPH, joined the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine at CHAM in 2010 after serving as the Director of the Inpatient Division at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx and receiving an MPH in Healthcare Management from Columbia’s Executive MPH program.
In addition to providing care for children admitted to the hospital and supervising residents and students on the wards, her interests at Montefiore and Einstein focus on medical education across the continuum of learners. Dr. Rhim developed and implemented the Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship Program, for which she is the fellowship director. For practicing hospitalists, she co-chairs the NYC PHM Forum Education Committee to implement annual CME conferences in the region.
Dr. Rhim is a graduate of the APA Educational Scholars Program and received a certificate of excellence in educational scholarship for her work on Objective Structured Clinical Exercises and its role in evaluating third-year medical students’ professionalism and communication skills.
